Back to School

Madewell top
Free People shorts
Topshop shoes
Rebecca Minkoff bag
Alex and Ani bracelets
Madewell necklace
Chloe sunglasses

I've literally been dreading writing this blog post because it is the last one I will write before heading back to school.  I am definitely one of those typical teenagers that absolutely hates going back to school and would rather be doing anything else.  But this year it's a bit different.  This year, I am starting college.  In three days I am moving to New York City and starting my first year at NYU.  That was a scary sentence.  Of course I'm excited, but I don't think I'm really going to let myself be too enthusiastic until everything has settled and I have gotten through my first week of classes.  I'm just too nervous! However, something that calms my nerves slightly is knowing what I will be wearing on the first day; one less thing to worry about.

The first week of september is basically still the middle of summer so I've opted for shorts and an airy tank top.  These faux Birkenstocks are pretty much the most comfortable shoes in existence, perfect for my 10 minute walk from my dorm on Union Square to my classes on Washington Square Park.  And it is absolutely essential that I still feel like myself with all this change going on, so I've piled on the gold jewelry.  I also made a video on my back to school hair, makeup, and outfit that I've inserted above, or you can watch here

Wow writing this blog post hasn't calmed my nerves at all.  See you on the other side!

Animal Lover

Asos dress, 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target bag, B Brian Atwood espadrilles, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch, vintage bracelet from Chelsea Market in NYC, Banana Republic headband, Madewell necklace, Chloe sunglasses, Topshop rings

I feel like this dress is a really refreshing way of wearing animal print. I have never been the biggest fan of traditional animal print, but the animals represented on this dress are just adorable. It has some of my favorite animals: elephants, butterflies, penguins, and cheetahs! This dress is so super comfortable (just search "smock dress" on Asos for an abundance of them) that I have already ordered two more in the same exact style in different patterns. I think the shape and cotton material are perfect for summer, and I cannot wait to add to my smock dress collection.

I hope you are all having a great week!

Short Story

Urban Outfitters tee and shorts, Jeffery Campbell sandals, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch, Topshop rings, Madewell sunnies and bobby pins

I'm going to stick to the title and keep this short; AP exams are currently happening, I'm exhausted, there is no way I can write a coherent blog post right now, and here is an outfit that I really enjoyed wearing!  First shorts of the season, which is making me so excited. Hope you are all doing well:)

Aruba Outfit Diary

Credit to my bestie Rachel who was on the trip with me for these amazing photographs, love you and miss you<3

Outfit 1: Free People dress, Levi's vest, Madewell shoes and necklace, Urban Outfitters bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch

Outfit 2: Urban Outfitters top and shorts, Francesca's cardigan, Bauble Bar necklace, Fuji polaroid camera, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch, Topshop ring

Outfit 3: Free People dress, Mango shoes, Urban Outfitters bag, Michael Kors watch, C Wonder bracelet, Tiffany & Co. ring

Outfit 4: Madewell top, shorts, and shoes, Michael Kors watch, C Wonder bracelet, Dannijo bracelet

Outfit 5 (my favorite): Mink Pink Romper, Mango shoes, Urban Outfitters bag, Bauble Bar necklace, Topshop ring, Flea Market bracelet

Woah not even sure I remember how to write one of these things.  As you may have noticed (because I know you are all very observant), I was in Aruba last week for spring break, hence the lack of posting/social media interaction/general stalker internet presence. I was planning on posting a full Aruba Photo Diary post, but the majority of my time there was spent doing water activities, and because I'm super smart I didn't bring a waterproof camera, so my thrilling adventures of tubing, snorkeling, jet skiing, and general spring break craziness must be left to your imagination. I had the most amazing trip and I'm devastated that I won't be able to go next year because of university. C'est la vie, first world problems, blah blah blah.

Anyway, here are some of the outfits I wore on my nights out on my trip. I wasn't able to shoot all of them as the weather there was a bit crazy and sometimes the wind was too extreme for a clear shot. Editing these photos made me overly excited for summer fashion though. I have decided that I need to invest in approximately 50 more rompers because this one from Mink Pink is my new favorite thing ever. What are you excited to wear for summer?

Hope you are all having a great week!

Subtle

Topshop top, BlankNYC jeans from Madewell, Free People jacket, Cole Haan flats, Target sunnies, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch

I have always been a huge fan of mixed prints on others, but I can never get it quite right when I try it on myself.  So I thought I would take baby steps instead of going full on mixed with this look. I am a bit obsessed with printed pants, and these are my favorite for spring. At first, I paired it with a blue and green floral top, but it looked off. I love the idea of floral and polka dots though, so instead I opted for a solid print that doesn't call as much attention. I like the subtlety of the prints, but it's still more fun than pairing the pants with a boring white tee. Also, I got this jacket over the weekend after lusting over it for a solid six months, so you may be seeing it on here quite a bit as I am fairly certain I'm never taking it off. I am going to be in Aruba next week, so expect some tropical looks and videos!

Have a great week:)

Here Comes The Sun

Madewell dress and bobby pins, Rachel Zoe sandals, Marc by Marc Jacobs bag and watch, Topshop ring

Just some wonderfully sunny shots from my quick trip to Florida last week.  Mixing gold and grey is one of my favorite pairings, and this outfit is so simple and easy; I wish I could wear it everyday.  I cannot wait for spring to get more use out of this dress.  But I am back in freezing New York, so for now I'm sticking to jeans, sweaters, and boots!

Have a great week:)

Repeat Offender

Free People sweater and dress, Madewell bag and sunnies, B Brian Atwood espadrilles, Topshop rings

Last saturday was absolutely gorgeous.  Cool, but not cold, the sun shining, a light breeze, absolute perfection.  I was in NYC seeing an exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History, which is right next Central Park.  Naturally, I wanted to take advantage of this and take some outfit photos, but my family, whom I was with, seem mildly horrified that I suggested posting pictures wearing the same sweater and shoes that I wore in my last outfit post.  They decided that this is somehow against the rules of a fashion blogger or something, but I am not one to pass up a beautiful day and a great outfit, so I'm posting these anyway.

Hope you all had a very happy new year:)
