Hi everyone!

Wow I have not written a blog post in forever! I really have no excuse other than I haven't been feeling inspired to post anything.  I have been keeping up weekly on my YouTube channel though, so I thought I would post my latest get ready with me video along with some shots from last weekend.  

My cousin got married at a beautiful location in Brooklyn, and I am actually obsessed with my outfit and makeup. I wore a sort of pastel floral pleated dress that was perfect for dancing in, pale blue platforms that I thought would be more comfortable than they were, and tons of jewelry from Dannijo (where I am an intern).  I went with a bright purple eye shadow and pink lip, and I really had fun getting ready. I usually stick to black and white, so this was quite bold for me. The wedding was so beautiful so I have included some pictures from my Instagram of the view from the warehouse where it took place. New In: GoPro Hero 4 Silver

Hi everyone!

I thought I would share some images of my new GoPro, as well as the first video I have filmed on it. I have wanted a GoPro for years, and I am so excited to finally be able to capture all of my travels.  I decided to start out with just two accessories: the chest harness (which seemed the most versatile) and a short, floating pole (which just makes holding the camera easier and will float if dropped in water). 

On all of my NYU videos on YouTube, the most requested video I have been asked to film is a 'day in the life of an NYU student' video. I personally find it quite boring, but people apparently wanted to know all about my homework. It was a great opportunity to test out the new camera in a situation where there was no risk of me losing it, dropping it, missing something, etc. (as I could have on an adventurous vacation). The camera has a slight learning curve when using it with the app, but other than that I found it so easy and fun to play with. I can't wait to take my new camera on adventures! Shout out to my parents for this awesome birthday gift. :D

I've literally been dreading writing this blog post because it is the last one I will write before heading back to school.  I am definitely one of those typical teenagers that absolutely hates going back to school and would rather be doing anything else.  But this year it's a bit different.  This year, I am starting college.  In three days I am moving to New York City and starting my first year at NYU.  That was a scary sentence.  Of course I'm excited, but I don't think I'm really going to let myself be too enthusiastic until everything has settled and I have gotten through my first week of classes.  I'm just too nervous! However, something that calms my nerves slightly is knowing what I will be wearing on the first day; one less thing to worry about. 

The first week of september is basically still the middle of summer so I've opted for shorts and an airy tank top.  These faux Birkenstocks are pretty much the most comfortable shoes in existence, perfect for my 10 minute walk from my dorm on Union Square to my classes on Washington Square Park.  And it is absolutely essential that I still feel like myself with all this change going on, so I've piled on the gold jewelry.  I also made a video on my back to school hair, makeup, and outfit that I've inserted above, or you can watch here! 

Wow writing this blog post hasn't calmed my nerves at all.  See you on the other side!

Last week was my senior prom, finally. My whole school has been in prom mode since January, and I can't believe how amazing it turned out to be.  I had the best time ever!  If you are interested in some of the details on costs and essentials, I made a highly-requested video about it here:) Thank you to all of my friends and my wonderful boyfriend for making it such a special night. <3

Me with Fleur from the youtube channel fleurdeforce! Fleur was one of the people I most wanted to meet that day and she totally lived up to my expectations. She was incredibly nice (and has the best sounding British accent EVER) and we chatted for minute about me wanting to study abroad in London!

Me with Arden from the youtube channel arose186!  Arden was hilarious and was handling the mini crowd surrounding her so well.  We obsessed over her Dailylook outfit together; she was just as funny in person as in her videos.

Me with Lauren from the youtube channel laurdiy!  I have made a few of the DIY projects from Lauren's channel and was determined to meet her. She has interacted with me a bunch through twitter, tumblr, and youtube, and so I already knew she would be super nice! We talked for a minute about one of her DIY's that I made and she was just super cute. 

Oops it's been two weeks; I'm just going to keep blaming school until I can no longer do so.  I have been exceptionally busy lately, but one thing I was super excited for was BeautyCon NYC.  BeautyCon is basically a makeup convention where thousands of beauty junkies gather together to celebrate beauty, buy makeup, watch panels, and meet some of their favorite beauty gurus from YouTube. The event was held at Pier 36 on the lower east side of Manhattan, and it was such a fun day!  For me, it mostly consisted of meeting some of my favorite beauty youtubers, watching panels, eating, and trying out makeup products; what more could you ask for really? 

The first set of pictures is what I wore to the event. It was absolutely imperative that I be as comfortable as possible, seeing as my day would span around 12 hours total, about 9 of which I was on my feet for.  A romper seemed obvious as they are just about the easiest way to look like you put effort into your outfit when you really did nothing, I needed the Madewell bag to hold my shnazzy Canon camera (I realized upon arrival that I had left the SD card sitting on my desk because I am a genius), and the wedge sneakers/change of flats were necessary for a day of standing in endless lines. 

I thought I would also include some shots from the event. I got to meet some of my favorite beauty youtubers, including Claudia (beyondbeautystar), Allie (alliemarieevans), Sierra (sierramariemakeup), Mia (mammamiamakeup), Arden (arose186), Lauren (laurdiy), and Fleur (fleurdeforce). I also watched a really interesting panel called "The Rise of Digital Influence" that was hosted by Elle's creative director Joe Zee and included a bunch of youtubers and bloggers.  I loved hearing what Kandee Johnson had to say about staying true to yourself and not allowing online bullies control your life.  Also at the convention were areas set up for Style Haul, Elle, Boohoo, NYX, Tarte, Bare Minerals, Wildflower cases, and loads of other little accessory and makeup stations.  There was also a dj and dance floor, and food trucks which were soooooo yummy. Overall the event was really well put together and I would love to go back next year!

All Madewell Everything

Not much time to write at the moment as I am currently drowning in homework (didn't someone, somewhere once say that senior year was supposed to be fun?), but I wanted to do a quick post in this look that I wore to school last week.  I have found that my wardrobe is quickly becoming primarily Madewell clothes (whereas, two years ago, it was 95% Free People).  I recognize that, in this post, my shoes are not Madewell, but believe me I do own three pairs from there that would have suited this look as well.  Not sure if my obsession is justified because their clothes are so beautiful or a problem because they are so overpriced. An ongoing dilemma. 

Also, for reasons unknown, two of the videos on my YouTube channel were randomly deleted and re-uploaded by YouTube last night.  They both lost all of their views, likes, and comments, so I would really appreciate if you guys would click on these two links so I can get the views back to where they were before. Thank you!!
