Thursday Pinspiration

I was first introduced to Pinterest when I created this blog but one month ago.  When researching how to promote my new blog, a major suggestion was to join every social media site known to man, including Pinterest.  For those of you who don't know, Pinterest is a social media site that acts as an online moodboard on which to pin inspirational photos.  The most popular shots to pin are generally those of fashion, food, and inspirational quotes.  And let me tell you, this site is sparking a new addiction deep within me.

I have always been a major advocate of mood boards. I currently have two hanging on my wall, one has articles of my past such as birthday cards, broadway show tickets, and pieces of ribbon I have collected over the years; the other has my most favorite looks cut out of magazines, and words such as "believe" and "dream".  Now, these may sound incredibly cliché, but they have a purpose.  The memories board serves to keep all of my sentimental (but not valuable money-wise) items in one spot so I can look at them whenever I wish and have fun flashbacks.  The fashion board serves as both outfit inspiration and personal inspiration for what my life could be like if I achieve the goals I have set for myself.  Every year or few years I take down my boards and put up new inspiration so that I am always moving forward.

Despite my obvious love for them, it never occured to me that it would be a good idea to have an unlimited amout of inspirational pins available online! Thankfully, it occured to someone else and thus, Pinterest was born.  My obsession for the site is growing each and every day, and my current boards include "Cut and Color" (hair), "All in the Details" (accessories), "Denim, Denim, Denim" (pretty self-explanitory), "Jewels and Things" (jewelry...and things), "On the Street" (streetstyle), "Doin' it Myself" (diy and crafts), "Shoesday" (covetable shoes), "Beauty" (makeup), "Inspiration Nation" (quotes, mostly), "On the Runway" (designer shows), "Take me Away" (vacation destinations), "Currently Craving" (food, usually desserts), "On the Carpet" (red carpet celebrities), "Home Sweet Home" (home decor), and "My Style" (blog post shots).  Wow, I didn't realize how many boards I had until I just had to type up all of them! I fear my addiction may be more dangerous than originally thought.

So, I present to you some of my favorite pins from each board that I have accumulated over the last month.  Enjoy!
